Before joining Compound Photonics, the members of our leadership team spent decades at the forefront of electronic display and semiconductor technologies—playing instrumental roles at IBM, National Semiconductor, Three-Five Systems, Syntax-Brillian, Invisio, S-Vision, Steridian, Colorado Microdisplay, Pixelworks, InFocus, Epson, NEC and Microsoft.

Brian Bolger
Brian Bolger is CEO and CFO at Compound Photonics. In this role, Brian is responsible for the overall strategy to commercialize the company’s technology through innovative products and solutions.

Before joining Compound Photonics full time, Brian had a career in finance, most recently as a Partner at Kew Capital LLP, an advisor to a multi-billion dollar privately held group with multiple technology investments. Prior to that he was Managing Director, Emerging Markets Group at Credit Suisse in London, United Kingdom.
Pierre Richer
EVP Sales, Marketing & Service
Before joining Compound Photonics to spearhead both corporate and product brand launches, Pierre was President and CEO of NEC Display Solutions—running overall strategy for projectors, large format displays, monitors and software in the Americas. Instrumental in developing NEC’s e-commerce customer storefront initiative (as well as in introducing new revenue opportunities through the retail and home channels), Pierre helped grow the firm’s partner base while driving its transition from a hardware manufacturer to a total solutions provider.

Prior to NEC, Pierre spent almost a decade at InFocus Corporation. During his tenure, he served as Vice President of Marketing for the Americas, leading efforts to develop business strategies and capitalize on growth opportunities in sales, product management, marketing and e-commerce.
Steve Stark
Steve’s track record spans more than 20 years leading engineering teams at InFocus. Under Steve’s leadership, his teams delivered quality projection products that set the benchmarks for price/performance. Steve has integrated HTPS, DLP® and LCoS display technologies across every segment of the market. His focus is on engineering cost effective products that leverage high volume manufacturing as a competitive advantage. He has extensive experience building and managing global development teams, supply chain and customer partnerships. Steve holds multiple displays and collaboration system patents.

Steve earned a B.S.E.E. from the University of Portland.
Richard Jackson
He has 20 plus years of experience supplying high volume components to customers including leading mobile phone manufacturers.

Prior to joining Compound Photonics, Richard was the Director of Wafer Fab Operations for Europe’s largest Gallium Arsenide fab and held multiple positions of increasing responsibility covering manufacturing, engineering and procurement at RFMD and Fujitsu.
Edmund Passon
VP of Product Development
Prior to joining Compound Photonics, Ed held senior engineering and business development positions at Omnivision where he led teams designing optical systems for mobile phones and InFocus where he was responsible for development of numerous DLP projectors and HDTV light engines.
